Greetings from Death Wish! We would like to announce a very exciting competition that can provide you with a wonderful opportunity to experience Black Temple and Hyjal raiding, as well as pick up some loot while you are on the runs!

We are looking for materials and various consumables used in raiding, and we are prepared to reward you with fabulous prizes! Below is the list of what we are accepting for the competition. Send these items in the specified quantities (if you do not send them in the exact quantity specified, we will keep them and not give you credit) to Dwcontest (Cho'gall Horde). Death Wish Credits will be tallied every night and the top 2 positions will be posted as a reply to this post (If you forget your point count, or wish to find out your current position, send an in-game mail to Dwcontest). The contest will start IMMEDIATELY and run until midnight server time, JUNE 28th, 2008. Anything received AFTER the deadline will NOT be counted and will NOT be returned.

The winners will receive the following as their rewards (The first raids will be run during the raid week of JULY 1-7)

1st place: Full BT and Hyjal run, you can loot ANYTHING you want except what is listed in the changelog below (2nd reply), MINIMUM of 6 items, NO Maximum, PLUS an Amani War Bear

2nd place: Full BT and Hyjal run, you can loot ANYTHING you want except what is listed below, MAXIMUM of 4 items, minimum 2.

Wild Card: Based on how many points you have, we will be /randoming 3 spots for a person to come in and loot TWO items TOTAL in BT/Hyjal.

**If you do not receive your MINIMUM ITEM QUOTA, you will be brought with along for up to TWO extra raids to meet your quota, if you have still not matched your quota, you will not be brought anymore.**

Raid spots and loot priority will be based on the following:
-First place winner will be given first priority on all loot and raid spots over any other winner.
-Second place winner will be given second priority on loot and raid spots over the Wild Card winners.
-Wild Card winners will be brought in for bosses from which they need loot, if they need trash loot they will be brought in for trash as well. In the event that two or more Wild Card winners want the same item, the person who had the most accumulated Death Wish Credits will be brought in.

Wild Card Selection: After the final Credits are totaled, the winning contestant's points will be used to assist in the selection of the three Wild Card spots. When asked for, contestants will send an IN-GAME MAIL to Dwcontest with a number between 1 and {1st Place Winner's total points}. Dwcontest will roll /random 1-{1st Place Winner's Points} ONCE. The THREE closest numbers will be selected as the Wild Card spots. You will have 48 HOURS to send a mail in-game to Dwcontest with your chosen number if you wish to partake in the Wild Card race (DO NOT SEND A MAIL UNTIL CALLED FOR IN THIS THREAD). You will not be eligible to win the Wild Card selection if your point total is not 5% or more of the 1st Place Winner's points.

Wild Card example:
Winning contestant (1st Place): 2100 points
Wild Card contestant 1: Sends mail with the number 1555
Wild Card contestant 2: Sends mail with the number 1200
Wild Card contestant 3: Sends mail with the number 800
Wild Card contestant 4: Sends mail with the number 2000
Wild Card contestant 5: Sends mail with the number 1850
Dwcontest rolls 1-2100, outcome is a 1553.

Wild Card contestants 1, 2, and 5 would be brought in as the Wild Card winners.

Miscellaneous

Patterns that no one in Death Wish want/need are rewarded to the winners at no cost, and do not count towards your quota. BoE items such as Epic Gems, Hearts of Darkness, and Marks of the Illidari will be kept by Death Wish.

If you have met your quota of how many items you may loot, you will be given an opportunity to purchase loot at a price determined on the spot. Only winners of this contest will be allowed to purchase loot, do NOT ask us if we will sell you loot if you do not win.

Winners are REQUIRED to have Ventrilo installed (However, you do not need to have a mic). It is your responsibility to be available for the raid (our typical raid times are 6 PM server to midnight); you will be informed of the days on which the instances will be run in advance. We reserve the right to limit your participation on encounters based on your raid experience and gear. If you already have amazing gear and only want very specific items, we reserve the right to limit how many runs we take you on in order to meet your quota for the contest.

The first place winner is now EXEMPT from the "Cannot Loot List" with the exception of: Warglaive of Azzinoth (MH/OH), Madness of the Betrayer, and Shadowmoon Destroyers Drape. This means you can loot ANY ITEM except for the four mentioned in this post.

If I had my way, I'd never work. I'd just stay home all day, watch Scarface 50 times, eat a turkey sandwich, and have sex all fucking day. Then I'd dress up like a clown, and surprise kids at schools. Then I'd take a dump in the back of a movie theater, and just wait until somebody sat in it. Hear it squish. That's funny to me. Then I'd paint, and read, and play violin. I'd climb the mountains, and sing the songs that I like to sing. But I don't got that kinda time.
