Yeah you're right, it's the clock speeds that can be different, but they really should be the same card.
The one nice thing about evga cards is if you buy one and a better one comes out within 90 days of purchase you can send in your old one, pay the difference and get the new one.
pretty sure it's not a "really should be the same card issue", pretty sure it wont work at all if they cards are different models i'm curious now if this actually works? not cause i wanna do anything with it, just curiosity. have you seen this work?

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLI mobo which is about as old as Quake4 (2005ish). Is this the only requirement I have to worry about? I want to make sure my mobo can support it too.
